Dr. John Marshall, MD graduated from the University of Toronto and Faculty of Medicine in 1977. Founder and Medical Director of Paradise Valley Family Care, Dr. Marshall has been practicing family medicine in North Phoenix and Paradise Valley since 1979. His expertise involves all aspects of medicine, looking after families from all ages and through all stages, providing comprehensive and compassionate care. Recognized as a PHOENIX Magazine Top Doc in 2005, Dr. Marshall's approach treats each patient unique, working together to achieve optimal health and quality of life.
As a supervising physician, Dr. Marshall works with a team of Physician Assistants (PA-C). These healthcare professionals are an extension of the physician that deliver a broad range of medical services. As part of their comprehensive responsibilities, PAs conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, perform minor surgeries, and prescribe medications. Dr. Dan Smith, D.C.

Dr. Dan Smith was born and raised in Rochester, MN and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota. In 1987, Dr. Smith graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Minneapolis, MN. He then completed his board licensing in the State of Arizona in 1988 and has been practicing Chiropracitc and Physical Medicine since.
Dr. Smith's technique is Diversified with the objective to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction. Dr. Smith also has certified training in Chirprocatic Spinal Trauma and spinal decompression techniques. He integrates other physio-therapy modalities such as ultrasound and electrical muscle stimulation. This integrative approach maximizes quality of life and movement potential with emphases of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, and rehabilitation. |

Angela Calderon, PA-C
Board Certified Physician Assistant
Angela Calderon attended University of Arizona where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Psychology. In 2005, she pursued her formal medical education at A.T. Still University Physician Assistant Program in Mesa, AZ and became Board Certified Physician Assistant. Angela has been practicing family medicine in the valley since 2007 and joined Paradise Valley Family Care in 2010 as one of two Physician Assistant (PA) medical providers.

Adam L. Schwartz, MMS, PA-C
Board Certified Physician Assistant
Adam Schwartz, native Scottsdale resident, attended the University of Arizona where he achieved his Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology. In 2004, he attended Midwestern University's Physician Assistant Program in Downers Grove, IL where he earned a Masters of Medical Science and Board Certified Physician Assistant.
Adam has been practicing medicine in Phoenix, AZ since 2006 and joined Paradise Valley Family Care in 2008. He enjoys treating pediatrics through geriatrics and strongly believes in evidence based medicine, prevention, and patient education to improve the quality of care and understanding of disease conditions. Adam is also involved in the musician community integrating his medical background by providing resources and education to promote healthcare awareness. Some of his patients are musicians and are seen for general healthcare maintenance, acute illness, and disease specific conditions in the music industry such as vocal nodules and strains, carpal tunnel syndrome and other musculoskeletal disorders. |
